Clintons Pardon List; cocaine dealers, thieves, fraudsters etc

Clinton issued 140 pardons as well as several commutations on his last day of office (January 20, 2001).[13] When a sentence is commuted, the conviction remains intact, but the sentence can be altered in a number of ways. Some controversial actions include the following:

What favours did these people give to get these pardons. Well in the case of Marc Rich we know his wife donated to the 'Foundation'. If so, what did these 'respectable' criminals do to get theirs?

The whole tale with the Clintons is sordid and dirty and the transperancy murky.

I therefore demand that the Cintons release the full list of their Library donors, as soon as possible. Democracy and open government society demands it. Not a moment to soon.

One thing is clear. The Clintons do sure protect their own.

and so?  You want to put up Reagan's & Bush I's pardon list?

another slam again BC - I get it.

when was the last time we had a 2-term democratic president?

keep it up with the smear republican playbook(yes, they put up the same list you just did).  Democrats will never get another 2 terms the way you are acting.

Pardoning cocaine importers and like. The way the Clintons have done so is a gross gross act, more people should know about it.

I agree that this whole presidential pardon stuff should go out the window, but it is there.

but as another poster stated, you used to have to go to freeper to get this stuff, which is were I'll bet you got it.

ps.. as i type Obama is lying on TV about how he doesn't take lobbyist money and will protect jobs etc...
I think Hillary needs to do one about his secret conversations with Canadians about how he doesn't really mean it.

when something is really offensive admin will delete it.  but this, while a right wing troll diary, doesn't meet that standard.  If the person were referring to Hillary as a F*cking whore, or Obama as a dumbass N*gger, that would be deleted I am sure.

Re: Clintons Pardon List (2.00 / 2)

I believe I have uprated you in the past, when I felt you were being unfairly troll-rated, but this diary sucks.

Obama supporters have had to deal with smears recycled from freerepublic, and how do you respond?  By recycling Clinton smears from freerepublic.

Between this and diaries calling Obama the George Wallace of the Left, this site has truly become freerepublic.  All GOP smears welcome.  What's next, Larry Sinclair and Vince Foster?

Re: Clinton Pardon List (2.00 / 6)

Are you kidding?

You do understand that pardons are given to people who have been accused of a crime and found guilty, right?

So the people on the pardon list are all convicted criminals ... or else they wouldn't need pardons.

Is this not abundantly clear to you?

You do understand, don't you, that most pardons are given to people long after they have served their prison term and have fulfilled their debt to society, in order to restore things like voting rights. (In many states like FL, ex-felons can't vote. EVER. Unless they receive a pardon.)

What's next, a post against criminal defense attorneys?

Let me say it clearly: you have no idea what you're talking about.

GREAT Diary! (2.00 / 7)

of TOTAL BS.

One thing is clear. The Clintons do sure protect their own.
The way the Clintons have done so is a gross gross act, more people should know about it.

This diary is a disgrace. Bill Clinton is NOT running for President, Hillary Rodham Clinton is the Primary candidate running. You should be ashamed of yourself for posting a diary to slam HC that has ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with her candidacy. NOTHING.

If you want to continue to tear the Democratic Party apart, keep posting crap like this. For one you'll successfully keep alienating voters like me from YOUR anointed candidate, and two, you will open yourself up for a barage of replies citing pardons of every president that ever used the pardon in their administrations. And you'll see posters bringing up more negative stuff about BO to keep the divide WIDE. Like Wright, Rezko, Ayers, NAFTA, Selma, Airlift, Questionaire, etc... DO you REALLY want to see that stuff keep coming and coming and coming?????

Here's a suggestion KathyM... why don't you focus your diaries on the wonderful, positive, uplifting and successful things your candidate of choice has. Like wanting to up his place in senority today on the SFRC hearings so he can puff himself up further in his self-agrandizing manner. Who cares about the fact that he is a 2-yr. freshman Senator? He sure thinks he is more important than he is...in many, many ways. I'm glad Joe Biden put an immediate cabash on that and is not going to allow the hearings on Iraq to be politicized by BO for his own gain. The candidate of Audacity just keeps on giving... HRC supporters like myself more reasons NOT to support him. And his supporters like you only help that cause.

And btw... who are you exactly? to DEMAND that the Clintons do ANYTHING???? Take your rancor, hatred, and vitriolic fervor elsewhere---like a BO "is all that" blog where everyone gleefully disrespects and vilifies two public servants who have done more for Americans than your hate blogs ever will.

And your "McCain is also running for a Bush third term" analogy is wrong. If Jeb Bush was running you could use that 3rd term BS. And NO, I am not a Republican troll or a McCain supporter. This diary is crap, and should be deleted. It serves NO purpose except to further inflame HRC supporters, so you BO's go---keep helping him to crash in the GE if he gets that far. Without the HRC votes, he loses HUGELY. Bank it.
